Our commitment

A Star English is built for children and students, so privacy and safety come first. We collect as little information as possible and never sell personal data to anyone.

Using the app without an account

You can use A Star English as a guest without creating an account or providing any personal information. In guest mode, your progress is stored only on your device.

Information we collect with an account

If you choose to create a free account, we collect an email address and a display name so we can save your progress and show you on leaderboards. We also store learning data such as XP, streaks, achievements, and which words you have mastered.

Authentication and data storage are handled securely through Supabase.

AI Tutor

When you chat with the AI Tutor (Benny the Bee), your messages are sent to an AI service to generate a helpful reply. We do not use these conversations to identify you, and we encourage learners not to share personal details in chat.

No advertising

A Star English does not show ads and does not include third-party advertising trackers.

Children’s privacy

We do not knowingly collect more personal information than is needed to run the app. We encourage parents and guardians to set up and supervise accounts for younger children.

Deleting your data

You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing support@astarlearner.com.
